Who I am,
Doctor Diane
My Bio
Oh yeah, this is an About Me page
Here are some things you’re probably wondering about me.
“Who are you?”
I’m Dr. Diane Strachowski, but my clients call me Dr. Diane.
I’m not your typical psychologist. At 5’10” I’m simply too tall to be a shrink. (I know, bad joke.)
But seriously – for the last twenty years, I’ve specialized in getting people Back To Love. My goal is to help women find their happily-ever-afters using the best tools psychology has to offer. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology, a Master’s degree in counseling, and a doctorate in counseling psychology. I did my postdoctoral studies at Stanford, where I was trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have been in private practice in Northern California ever since.
“Is it true …… you’ve helped thousands of women find love?”
Yes, over the past twenty years I’ve helped countless women not only find love but get engaged and married, and I’ve helped couples improve their relationships.
I’ve written for Cosmo, PopSugar, NBC News, and Bustle about dating, relationships, and love. On social media, I’m the self-appointed ‘Bachelor Psychologist.’ I comment on the show and give psychological insights into what is really happening and post examples of what not to do and what to do in real life.
What’s your love style?
My Story
I’ve been obsessed with all things relationships since I was a kid. I’m passionate about helping people find love because I’ve felt heartbroken and lost myself – like you, I worried I would never find what I was looking for. I dated for years. And I dated A LOT. When I was single I visited therapists. I read Tarot Cards. And only when I started to look inside myself was I able to heal. I used the same therapy techniques I used with my clients and my luck changed. I met my husband on Match.com with the tagline, “Life is short but I hope you’re not.” (He ended up being 6’6”.)
Now happily married for more than ten years, I transformed myself from Nervous Nora into a Secure Sophia. My life is dedicated to helping other women do the same healing. In my private time, you will find me meditating, riding my bike, doing yoga, traveling, hanging out with my family and friends. I’m on a mission to find the world’s best cupcake.
My Philosophy
The one thing I know for sure is this: if you want to be successful in your relationships you have to be intentional. Because he ain’t gonna fall in your lap. It’s my mission to help you get out of your own way and stop sabotaging your chances for love or trying to revive a dead-end relationship. When you’re intentional about love your results are more positive. Women like you wanna know how to make bold moves and straight-up stop worrying and stressing over not feeling good enough or fulfilled in their romantic lives. No more settling for good enough, because you are afraid to date and/or scared to leave your existing relationship. Because most often the thing that gets in the way of finding the love you deserve is you.
