Independent Isabelle feels this deeply. It’s less about avoiding people and more about what is at stake- fear of losing something, your independence.
I named my character Independent Isabelle or Ian for that reason. The independent type feels misunderstood because people don’t understand you.
They do want to date and hang out but they want time alone too! The dichotomy is a real dilemma, the question is can you have both?
There is a difference between being emotionally distant and being emotionally available and asking for space. Do you know the difference?
The goal is to learn how to ask for what you want and need and not to simply disappear or avoid conflict of all types.
It will be up to you to see the value in your relationship, to recognize that maybe you don’t have to lose anything, but have love to gain.
Focus on the choices you make and being accountable to the people you date.
Focus on good communication skills.
You can speak up and ask for what you want and need versus emotional distancing which can be painful to others.
Drop a 💛 for my girl Isabelle.
